![]() To make things even worse, I learned how to set the monster encounters and I gave them a 90% chance to trigger. Everything, including the overworld map and homes, was a maze of some kind. From there you would travel a world that had been “confused” by the wizard Confuso. It started with the common JRPG trope of starting in a bed. ![]() It had very basic puzzles in it that required you to walk endlessly in a terrible maze. This was almost entirely an exploration game. My first big project was “Confuso’s Maze”. Since anything else required reading/writing, I focused on designing levels. When I first started out, I mostly made tile maps you could walk around in.
